Still Hill Brewery Bookfest

 I could not put this novel down! The characters were very well-developed and relatable, imbedded in the story of a woman and her family, fraught with tragedy, but with a resilience that kept me cheering for them till the end! I really hope the author continues the character of Maggie Glass in a series... I want to know more about this intriguing woman! 

 I was completely captivated by Maggie Glass’s journey from the moment she settled into the charming coastal village of Bell Harbor—only to have her new beginning erupt in flames when her storage locker is torched, dragging her back into a decade-old Texas arson and homicide that’s shockingly linked to her ex-husband. Maggie’s blend of sharp intellect, unflinching courage, and personal vulnerability makes her a heroine you’ll root for as she teams up with Detective Mike Finnegan to unravel secrets that hit uncomfortably close to home. With its seamless mix of small-town warmth, high-stakes suspense, and emotionally resonant twists, this novel had me turning pages. 

I couldn’t put it down! A fun, well-written crime and mystery novel - told through the interesting lens of a divorced family.
